About the Program
The Third Graders Go to Work Mayes County Project is an award-winning program, written, designed and administered for third grade classrooms by the Pryor Area Chamber of Commerce.
This program, which pairs each Mayes County third grade class with a local business partner, is the beginning component of the K-12 Workforce Development Partnership of education, business & industry in Pryor and Mayes County. |
The curriculum details guidelines for both participating teachers and businesses. Objectives are correlated to rigorous educational standards and activities.
Third Graders Go to Work offers an opportunity for students to experience the responsibilities of having a job. They also learn how their skills and knowledge can apply to a specific trade. Additionally, the program will provide your business with a way to invest in one of our most valuable resources - our future workforce! |
Program Activities & Components
