Pryor Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Hold Tailgate Bash

PRYOR, OK., June 3, 2008 - The Pryor Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors held their Tailgate Bash 2008 in Whitaker Park Thursday, May 29. The event was an opportunity for local businesses to meet the Ambassador committee and for the Pryor Chamber to find out how it can better serve them and the community.

“We are very pleased with the attendance and participation at the Tailgate Party,” said Jane Bennett, PACC Ambassador Chairman. “We want to thank all members of this great group of Ambassadors who came together to make it happen. But, we would like to especially thank Anna Dinsmore, who

came up with the idea of a Tailgate Party and organized everyone.”

The Ambassador committee was created to welcome new businesses to the Pryor area and to act as an advocate for the Chamber of Commerce.

“The Ambassadors are already in the process of planning additional events for the business community, which will take place in the fall,” continued Bennett. “They have been working very hard to welcome new businesses to our town to initiate programs that will be beneficial to the PACC members.”

Local State Farm Agent Rhett Minson provided hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks for the event.  Along with the tailgate food, guests were able to play horseshoes, washers, sing karaoke and network with Ambassador Representatives and other business owners at the bash.

“This was a great opportunity to get to know the people behind the businesses.” Rhett Minson said.  “I look forward to future Ambassador functions and know this is just the beginning of a wonderful tradition.”
