Rocklahoma 2008 Lineup AnnouncedCatch the Fever Music Festivals has announced the artists that will perform at the 2nd Annual Rocklahoma Music Festival, featuring 80’s era rock. The four-day event will take place July 10-13, 2008 in Pryor.
Queensryche (Geoff Tate, Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield and Mike Stone) will perform their 1988 concept album “Operation: Mindcrime” in its entirety. The epic theatrical presentation will cover all fifteen songs from the album including such fan favorites as "Revolution Calling," "Operation: Mindcrime," "I Don't Believe In Love" and the closing track, "Eyes Of A Stranger."
The band's headlining performance of “Operation: Mindcrime” at this year's four-day Rocklahoma festival will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of its release and will be the only performance of its type in the United States this year. “Working with the actors and creating different scenes helps us to really tell the story and draw the audience in,” says Geoff Tate, lead vocalist for Queensryche.
Although the current lineup is subject to change as bands are added in the upcoming weeks, Rocklahoma’s current scheduled lineup on the main stage is:
 | Thursday, July 10 marks the opening night and kicks off with Bret Michaels, Sebastian Bach, Dokken, LA Guns featuring Tracii Guns, Enuf Z Nuff, Vain, House of Lords and Jet Boy. Only guests who purchase three-day tickets will be allowed admittance to this show.
|  | Friday, July 11 will feature Triumph, Extreme, Lita Ford, Night Ranger, Living Colour, Kingdom Come, Armored Saint and XYZ.
|  | Saturday’s performance, July 12, will include Cinderella, The reunited Warrant, Kix, Lynch Mob, Trixter, Black N Blue, Tora Tora, Every Mother’s Nightmare and Pretty Boy Floyd.
|  | Sunday’s final lineup, on July 13, consists of Queensryche performing “Operation Mind Crime”, Tesla, TBA, UFO, Zebra, Beautiful Creatures and Axe. |
Sixty additional bands, sponsored by Retrospect Records and Tri-Label Group, will play on two giant side stages. That will bring the total to more than 96 bands that will be performing on three giant stages throughout the four days.
Mark Nuessle, General Manager of the Catch the Fever Music Festivals said, “We are trying to make Rocklahoma a unique concert experience. Along with Queensryche performing 'Operation Mind Crime,' there’s Lita Ford who hasn’t performed in fifteen years. Additionally, Triumph hasn’t performed together in twenty years! We have worked hard to make Rocklahoma different from any other Rock Festival in the world!”
Rocklahoma is the world’s largest Rock Festival featuring bands from the eighties. Tickets for the festival have been sold to concertgoers from all fifty states and more than twenty different countries.
The Catch the Fever venue is located four miles north of Pryor, OK, off Highway 69. Facilities include:
